Galleries have empty white walls for a reason, to keep the focus on the artwork. We wanted to achieve much the same thing online so we removed as much of the ‘design’ as we could and brought the artwork to the forefront. Due to the very personal nature of art buying we set up Mailchimp as a ‘follow artist’ system so that customers could get alerts whenever new work by their favourite artists became available.
